🇨🇲🇬🇭U20 AFCON : Cameroon sets quarter final showdown against Black satellites

The U20 lions of Cameroon will face three time winners, Ghana, in the quarter finals of the U20 AFCON, ongoing in Mauritania.

The black satellites suffered a devastating 1#2 to the Young scorpions of Gambia in their last group C game on Monday evening.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku opened scores for Ghana with a sublime opener from outside the box earlier in the game, but goals from Kajally Drammeh and Lamarana Jallow completed a stunning turnaround for Gambia.

Ghana qualified for the quarter finals despite a 1#2 defeat to Gambia

With Morocco emerging 3#0 winners over Tanzania in the other group game, it means the black satellites slip to third place in the group, behind leaders Morocco and Gambia, following the tiebreak roles.

Ghana however qualifies for the quarter finals as one of the two best thirds, alongside Tunisia.

Given that the U20 lions of Cameroon finished top of group A with nine points, they will therefore face the black satellites in the quarter finals, on Thursday February 25, 2021, at the Olympic stadium in Nouakchott.

Ousmanou Christophe and his boys have had enough time to rest, since their 4#1 bashing of Mozambique last Saturday.
