AS Futuro’s Forward, Joseph Yannick N’Djeng, has been chased away from the intermediate lions den, for what has been described as indisipiline.
Video footages showed the 30_year_old former Esperance of Tunis man appeared to have attacked Intermediate lions deputy coach, David Pagou, when he was subbed off for Rayonne Mbougain in the last quarter of their 4#0 defeat from Morocco on Wednesday evening a the Limbe Omnisport Stadium.
Images could show Midfielder Beo Bato Valentine trying to stop Ndjeng from laying his on David Pagou and now an official release from the team indicates that Yannick N’Djeng was sent away from camp earlier on Thursday.
“The public is by this release informed that Yannick Njeng player of the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon has been excluded from the team currently taking part in the ongoing #TOTALCHAN2020 for characterised indiscipline, read a communiqué from the Team Media officer of the intermediate lions.
Yannick N’Djeng was one the goal scorers for the intermediate lions in their 2#1 win over DR Congo in the quarter finals, but was a shadow of himself against Morocco. He failed to attempt a shot at goal before he was substituted late on in the game.
N’Djeng’s called up into the intermediate lions den, had raise eyebrows, given that the former Canon of yaounde forward has been out of competitive football for sometime now, and have not played in the local Championship for over a decade.
His move to AS Futuro, a fourth tier side in Cameroon, was only announced after he was called up by coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile.
Ndjeng has featured in three of the lions five games at the CHAN, but is now set to miss their classification game against Guinea, on Saturday.
