🇨🇲U20 AFCON preps: John Bosco hits hat trick as junior lions thrash Central African Republic

The U20 lions of Cameroon have ended a one week training camp in Rabat, Morocco, with a resounding 3#0 win

The U20 lions of Cameroon have beaten the Central African Republic 3#0, in a pre_AFCON friendly game in Rabat, Morocco.

PWD’s Midfielder Nchindo John Bosco, hit a hat trick, as Ousmanou Christophe and his boys leave Rabat in style.

18_year_old John Bosco opened scores for the baby lions at the 18 minute of the game, and made it 2#0 before the break.

After the break, Ousmanou Christophe kept faith in the Midfielder, who had missed their previous friendly due to an ankle injury. John Bosco completed his hat trick at the 72nd minute, to seal a 3#0 win for Cameroon.

During their stay in Rabat, the U20 lions have played three friendly games, winning two, and losing one. They defeated Burkina Faso 1#0 thanks to a goal from Njang Sunday, but suffered a 0#2 defeat to Gambia.

The baby lions are expected to leave Rabat on Wednesday night for Mauritania, where they will take part in the U20 AFCON that kicks off this month.

All three opponents, Burkina Faso, Gambia and Central African Republic, have also qualified for the U20 AFCON. Burkina  Faso and Central African Republic are drawn in group B, alongside Namibia and Tunisia, while Gambia is in group C, alongside Morocco, Tanzania and Ghana.

For the U20 lions, they will play the competitions opener against host Mauritania, before facing Uganda and Mozambique.

The 16th edition of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania, will from 14 February to March 04, 2021. This will be the first edition in Africa U-20 Cup of Nations to have expanded to 12 teams instead of eight.

The biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for players aged 20 and below. The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia as the CAF representatives.
