31_year_old Nigerian international Odion Jude Ighalo, has joined Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab on a permanent deal.
Ighalo’s move to the Saudi club has been Confirmed by sports journalist and Transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano.
The former Watford forward joins Al Shabab on a two-and-a-half-year contract from Chinese super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
The forward spent last season on loan at Manchester United, but the club confirmed late last month that he has left, after coming to the end of his deal. Ighalo had limited playing time under Ole Gunnar solskjaer, but managed to score five goals in 23 appearances for the Old Trafford club.
Prior to joining United, Ighalo had netted a total of 131 goals from 322 appearances across his club career. A career that has seen him representing the likes of Granada and Changchun Yatai F.C.
Al Shabab currently tops the Saudi Professional League with 32 points from 16 games. The coming of Ighalo will definitely add more firepower to Carlos Hernandez’s side.
