Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has been at the club for around four months and is slowly starting to make things run his way. The Portuguese tactician is set to be given a handsome sum of £120 million as Tottenham plan to get an all-new defence for the next season.
While Jan Vertonghen is set to leave the club after the ongoing season as his contract runs out, Toby Alderweireld is now 30-year-old and Spurs are in desperate need of new defenders before the next season starts. As a result, Mourinho has identified four players who can potentially fix the Spurs backline.
According to reports in Express, the North London-based outfit are targetting Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias and Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake and might make a move for them in the summer. Moreover, they have also identified Norwich’s 20-year-old full-back Max Aarons as a potential signing.
Moreover, Spurs are also ready to enter into a transfer battle with other Premier League giants for the signing of Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell. While Aarons would cost something around £15 million, the Leicester full-back will be a bit costlier given the fact that Chelsea are also heavily interested in him.
The report claims that Chilwell could cost around £25 million or even more.
Italian journalist reveals Juventus’ possible offer to Manchester United for signing of Paul Pogba
A senior Italian journalist has claimed that Serie A giants Juventus are willing to offer cash plus newly-signed midfielder Aaron Ramsey to English Premier League outfit Manchester United in order to sign their star player Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window. The French international has been linked with a move away from the Manchester-based club since the summer of 2019 when he publicly admitted that he was looking for a new challenge.
But no club managed to meet with United’s valuation of £180 million for the midfielder and in result, he ended up staying with the club for another season.
Pogba has been linked heavily with the likes of Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and his former club Juventus in the recent past.
As per Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, Juventus are keen to bring the World Cup-winning midfielder back to the club and are ready to offer fee in the region of €55 to €60 million-plus Ramsey to United.

However, it will be interesting to see if United will accept such an offer considering the fact that they are eyeing at least £100 million from the departure of their prized asset.
On the other hand, the news is going to be a disastrous one for the Wales international who is clearly struggling to adjust to life in the Serie A after a move in the summer as a free agent.
MLS club inquire about possibility of signing Lionel Messi in summer
Major League Soccer (MLS) club Los Angeles (LA) Galaxy have inquired about the availability of Spanish La Liga giants FC Barcelona’s star striker Lionel Messi. The Argentina international has been in the news recently after having a public fallout with the Catalan-based club’s sporting director Eric Abidal for his comments regarding the player’s role in the sacking of the former manager Ernesto Valverde.
Following that fallout, there were reports in the media that Messi might consider his future with the current Spanish champions in the near future and was linked with English Premier League giants Manchester City.
However, as per Radio Continental cited by ESPN, surprisingly, MLS outfit LA Galaxy’s manager Guillermo Barros has reached out to Messi’s father in order to inquire about the possibility of signing the six-time Ballon d’Or winner in the summer.
It is believed that Messi has a clause in his current contract which allows him to leave Barcelona for free in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 32-year-old is being widely renowned as one of the two best players of this generation alongside Juventus’ star striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi is a Barcelona’s academy product and has represented his current club in 714 matches in all competitions where he has managed to score 622 goals and provided 261 assists.
Manchester United identify number one target for summer transfer window
English Premier League giants Manchester United have identified league rivals Aston Villa’s star midfielder Jack Grealish as their top target for the upcoming summer transfer window. The 24-year-old is highly-rated in the football community and has been attracting interest from a number of big clubs in England as well as from abroad.
On the other hand, United are looking to overhaul their squad for the future campaigns and they have been linked with the likes of Leicester City’s James Maddison and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho in the recent past.
As per the Athletic, the Red Devils have now turned their complete attention towards signing Grealish in the summer transfer window where they are expecting to face stiff competition from league and city rivals Manchester City.
Grealish is a Villa academy product and was promoted to the club’s senior team in the summer of 2013.
Since then, the England U21 international has represented his current club in 174 matches in all competitions where he has managed to score 24 times and provided 31 assists as well.
In the ongoing campaign, Grealish—who currently has a contract with Villa till the summer of 2023—has been in inspirational form for his club where he has netted nine times and provided eight assists in just 28 appearances.
