2022 FIFA World Cup Draw: Cameroon Have Brazil, Ghana Have Unfinished Buisness With Uruguay.

Africa's five representatives now know their opponents at the 2022 Fifa World cup in Qatar.

Africa’s five representatives  at this year’s FIFA World Cup now Know their opponents following  the draw conducted today April 1, 2022 in Doha, Qatar.

The draw since Africa’s  representative with the most appearances  at the tournament (eighth appearances), Cameroon  to be paired with record winners Brazil for the third time in the competition ‘s history.

In the two previous  world cup editions that the two nations have been paired (1994 & 2014), Brazil has won all two meetings at the tournament.

Cameroon  will have to end that hurdle when tbe meet Brazil in their second group game.

Cameroon ‘s other group opponents  are Switzerland, and Serbia.

The Black Stars of Ghana on their part, will have to settle  scores with Uruguay  in group H. The controversial  quarter final elimination  in the 2010 edition by Uruguay  is still fresh in the minds of the Ghanaians.

The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes but, Luis Suerez delebrate handball few minutes  to full time ended Africa’s  hopes of reaching the semis. Ghana eventually  lost the game on penelty shoot outs.

Still fresh in the memories, it will be an unfinished business  when the two nations meet again  at the group stage of this year’s world cup.

Meanwhile, Senegal  seems to have a fair draw as they looked to repeat their 2002 exploits when then they reached the quarter finals. They are in group A alongside host nation Qatar, the Netherlands  and Ecuador.

Morocco  who are in their sixth appearance are in group F alongside  Belgium, Canada  and 2018 finalists  Croatia.

While, Tunisia are in group D alongside  champions  France and Denmark.
