Guinness Women’s Super League: ‘We Will Snatch The Title,’ Charlene Meyong

Andrenaline level this season has increased in the Guinness Women's Super League, as competition for places has intensified

21-year-old creative midfielder, Charlene Meyong Menene has told reporters that Louves Minprof will sure snatch the title this season, just like last term.

The Indomitable Lioness was talking after her team’s 4-1 victory over Vision Sports FC, on match day 6.

Reporter’s question: The team didn’t start this season firing from all cylinders. Will Louves turn out to snatch this year’s championship, just like last?

Meyong thought for a split second, before responding: ‘ we will snatch the title but it will need that the girls work hard because without us working hard, it wouldn’t be possible.’

It was the first time Vision Sports conceded more than one goal in a game, with Ghislaine Nkou and Flora Kameni doing the damage as they bagged home a brace each.

Meyong Menene is still trying to find her feet after a deal to France, precisely to club Angers CB, failed.

Menene is therefore still in search for her first goal of the season, while Louves Minprof are temporally leading the classification table with 16 points after partial match day 6 action.
