AFCON 2021: CAF Orders GFA To Extend Reporting Dates For England Base Players.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has ordered the Ghana Football Association to extend the arrival time of six England based players for the pre-afcon camping of the black stars.

The provisional squad summoned by head coach, Milovan Rajevac has close to six players from England, as the team prepares for the competition.

Due to the busy nature of the English football calendar during the festive period, clubs in England that will be losing players have been in negotiations with CAF to try and have reporting time of players in question extended.

In response, CAF has directed the Ghana FA to allow all six England -based players of the black stars to report later than scheduled.

The players include: Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey, Jordan Ayew, Andy Yiadom, Baba Rahman and Joseph Wollacott will not report to the camp of the black stars in Doha, Qatar until late next week.

The black stars of Ghana will begin their Afcon journey against the Atlas lions of Morocco on January 10, 2022.
