12 least ranked teams were involved in preliminary round draw of the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa cup of nations held today Friday January 21 in Douala, Cameroon.
The pairings sees high flying Afcon debutant, Gambia to play against Chad, while Mauritius will take on Sao Tome and Principe.
The winners of this round will then join top ranked 42 nations in the final group stage of the Afcon 2023 qualifiers.
