Gabon, on the other hand, are making their eighth appearance at the continental tournament and will be looking to progress into the knockout stages for the first time since 2012.

Peter Waweru Kamaku the man in black from Kenya kick start the game with Gabon with the first kick of the game.

Comoros with little experience against a power house Gabon look like an easy game for Gabon who was without the captain and top scorer Aubameyang but the first 10 minutes of the game was a bitter pile too slow for Gabon who underestimated Comoros

After some couple misfortune from the Comoros with some inexperience finishes, Gabon made it clear they are the master of game with an opener through Aaron Salem Boupenza at the 16th minute with an excellent past from Louis Ameka to put the panthers head

Despite Gabon with an early goal, Les Coelecantes, keep possession 54% with just one shot of the game.

Both teams did not create many scoring opportunities in the first half of the game and at half time Gabon with an advantage of a goal

The second quarter of the game started with coach Amir Ed Dine brought in some fresh leg to booster his game plan for an early equalizer. Fouad Bachirou came in for Iyad Mohamed and Faiz Mattoir came in for Kassim Abdallah

The two substitutes change the game as Comoros began pressing Gabon with fast and fancy football but still could not get yet a shot on target.

Gabon at the 54th minute had and opportunity through a counter attack but the effort was shot wide by Gabon forward Ahmed Mogni for a goal kick

Comoros continued with their threat and at the 72nd minute El-Fardou Ben with a super shot to force and equalizer but goalkeeper Jean Noel ensured his clean sheet is kept with a super save

Comoros might have their first ever Afcon game but for sure coach Amir Ed Dine team was class and hope to do better in their next game.

The second half was all about Comoros with a world class performance with a couple of chances missed from closed range

Despite suffering a major blow with the absence of Aubameyang, Gabon boasts a significantly stronger and more experienced crop of players when compared to the newcomers. We anticipate a thrilling contest between the two sides with the Brazilians claiming all three points.
