After Champions League, Youssoufa Moukoko Makes Bundesliga History

Borussia Dortmund’s star – prodigy Youssoufa Moukoko was on target as his team lost 1-2 on the road to Union Berlin on match day 13 of the German Bundesliga.

His 60th minute goal on Friday meant the youngster currently wears the crown of the youngest ever goal scorer in the championship.

Moukoko became the German top flight’s youngest debutant in November, coming off the bench for Erling Haaland against Hertha Berlin aged just 16 years and one day.

The following weeks have seen him also break the records for the youngest Bundesliga start and the youngest player to feature in the Champions League, beating marks set by Nuri Sahin and Celestine Babayaro respectively.

2020 has been a breakthrough year for the little boy who was born in Yaounde, Cameroon, in 2004.

In six appearances for Dortmund, though, Moukoko, who came to the fore for his prodigious scoring rate at youth level, was still waiting for his first senior goal, and this breakthrough will definitely give the lad massive confidence going forth.
