Eteki Esoh Memorial Sport Academy (EEMSA) have beaten Best Stars Academy of Limbe 1-0 to grab the first of three available tickets to represent the South West Region at this season’s cup of Cameroon.
Tembe Chik’s 53 minutes goal was enough to see the academicians from Tiko qualify for the round of 32 of the cup of Cameroon.
The coach of EEMSA was the first to face the media as he thank his boys and the Tiko population for the victory.
“i’m really happy, I want to thank the Tiko community radio for always being with us, I think the victory is theirs. I also want to thank the population of Tiko for this wonderful victory” EEMSA coach told reporters.
Concerning the secret behind their success so far…
“it is only hard work and discipline that is making us go through like this. There is no other motivation apart from that.
His message to the population of South West. .
“We want to promise the region that we are going to make the region very proud. Let them just rely on us and give us the confidence”, he concluded.
On the other hand, coach Djoufack congratulated his opponent, EEMSA and wished them the best of luck.
“We played against EEMSA, it was a better side, and they finally defeated us and we give them good luck for qualification to the round of 32”, coach Djoufack
Despite praising his opponent, coach Djoufack seems to be pessimistic in his latter words of this interview.
“i don’t have interest for the regional league because it is a very difficult task for us.
“We jus say that we are going to continue working hard but concerning our championship, we just forget about it”, coach Djoufack concluded.
The final two tickets will be determined on Sunday April 25 at the Tiko Town Green stadium, with Cinyodev FA to play against Kumba Lakers at 1pm, while Continental FA play Options Sport Academy at 3pm.
