Cameroon Under-20 skipper Blondon Meyapya of Elite Two side Fauve Azure Elite, has been named in CAF’s Under-20 team of the just ended tourney in Mauritania.
The defender was inch perfect with his area abilities, coupled with his ability to knock the ball around, and a good long range of passes as well.
Remarkable, Meyapya did not play a role in Ousmanou Christopher’s UNIFFAC winning side in Equatorial Guinea.
The huge center half took over the armband from Penda Fils who was part of the African Nations Championship in Cameroon.
Meyapya, 20, formed a formidable partnership with defense partner Goni Ali. The pair Conceded just one goal in extra time against Ghana, in three games played.
