Breaking: Gate Proceeds unfortunately can not change – GFA NC tells Kotoko



The GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition committee has written to Asante Kokoto SC over their demand of gate proceeds in the game against Accra Hearts of Oak.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC few days ago, wrote to the Normalization Committee to demand 40% of gate proceeds in the NC special cup semi final clash against Arch Rivals Hearts of Oak set to be played at the Nationa’s wembley, Accra Sports Stadium.

The committee has however, denied the Reds request.

Read below the statement;

“The GFA NC special competition comittee has taken note of the issues raised in your letter and wishes to respectfully respond as follows;

– Your reference to Article 11(5) of the regulations is alient to the matter under discussion and would direct you to refer to Article 12(5) of the Regulations for a clear understanding
– We communicated the revised competition details to you in our letter dated 22nd March, 2019 via e-mail on 24th March, 2019 as indicated in the attached document.
– The disbursement formula for the sharing of gate proceeds unfortunately can not change
– As already indicated in the competition Management system, the semi-final match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko still remains at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 16, 2019.

In the forgoing, we regard to inform you that we are unable to accede to your request.
