The draws of the Preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League will be held tomorrow, Monday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Some 54 teams are to know their opponents in the 2020/21 CAF Champions league campaign as the draw comes up tomorrow Monday November 9, 2020.
Ten out of the 54 teams to participate in this season’s CAF Champions league have been exempted from the Preliminary rounds. These teams are not part of the draw due to their encouraging performances in recent years.
In fact, most of these clubs or teams come from the top 12 MAs rankings in the past five years published by CAF two months ago.
Al Ahly of Egypt, arguably the most successful team in tournament and will be involved in the CAF Champions League final set to take place on November 27, is one of the clubs exempted from the draw.
Zamalek SC, Al Ahly’s opponents in this season’s CAF Champions league final are also exempted from the draw alongside Dr. Congo giants, TP Mazembe.

The first preliminary is set to begin on November 20-22 for the first while the second leg will come up on the 27th and 30th of November.
