Egyptian giants, Zamalek and Al Ahly will battle in this year’s CAF Champions League final at the Cairo international stadium on Friday November 27, 2020 at 9pm.
Both teams are arguably the best two sides as they go into battle for the continent’s most valuable cup competition prize.
The historic rivalry between these two historic Egyptian teams dates back in the 1948/49 season which ended in a 2-2 draw.

The white Knights of Zamalek began their journey to final following a 13-0 aggregate score against Dekedaha of Somalia in preliminary rounds before seeing off Senegalese side, Generation Foot in a 2-2 aggregate score in the first round.
At the group stage, they finished second with 9points behind Dr. Congo giants TP Mazembe in group A.
At the quarter finals, they eliminated Last season’s champions, Esperance of Tunis 3-2 on aggregate. Then followed by a 4-1 aggregate score at the semis against Raja Casablanca.
Overall: Played 14 matches, W8, D3, L3, 27 goals scored and 9 conceded.
Al Ahly on their part, had a 13-0 aggregate scoreagainst Atlabara of South Sudan in the preliminary round. Then seeing off Equato Guinean side, Cano Sport in a 6-0 aggregate score.
At the group stage, Al Ahly finished second with 9points in group B.
At the quarter finals, they beat Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 on aggregate before trashing Wydad 5-1 in the Semis.
Overall: 14 matches played, 10 wins, 3draw, 1 loss, 34 goals scored and 6 goals conceded.
Players to watch
Mostafa Mohammed of Zamalek will be a player to watch as he has scored 8 goals in the competition this campaign.
Also, Achraf Bencharki has also netted 7 times in the Champions League for Zamalek this season.
Al Ahly on their part, have Hussein El Shahat is the Red devils leading goal scorer with six in the competition.
Tunisian international left back, Ali Maaloul, their regular penalty taker will also be a man to watch for Al Ahly in tomorrow’s final and so far scored 4 goals.
It should be noted that no Egyptian coach will be on the touch line in tomorrow’s clash as South African Coach, Pitso Mosimane will head the Red devils while the white Knights will led by Portuguese gaffer, Jaime Pacheco.
