The Confederation of African football through its Secretary General Abdelmounaim Bah through a released communique today Saturday 13, has confirmed that the game WAC against Kaizer Chiefs will be played out of Morocco.
Due to events that made it impossible to organize the game (WAC against Chiefs), the game was postponed and the case, reported to the organization commission of inter clubs competitions.
The commission has decided the following; the match is rescheduled for the 16 or 20 of February 2021 and will be played in a neutral country with covid19 rules fully respected.
In the next 48 hours, a communique carrying the venue, date and kickoff time will be aired.
Match officials delegated by the Confederation of African football will be maintained.
WAC takes care of all the expenses of organization as host team in the neutral land and will ensure that the visiting team has assess to the neutral land.
On 11 February 2021 – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have confirmed that the CAF Champions League match between Wydad Athletic Club from Casablanca in Morocco and Kaizer Chiefs, could not be played as scheduled on Saturday, 13 February 2021.
Initially, Chiefs were scheduled to have left for Casablanca on Wednesday (February 10) evening but the team was denied entry visas to Morocco, forcing them to cancel the trip to North Africa.
