CAF Interclub Competitions: Semifinals posponed again.

Published

on

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has again postpone the CAF Interclub Competitions semifinals.

This was in an executive committee meeting held today via video conference to discuss several important topics related to the development of football on the continent.

One of the decisions arrived at, was the postponement of the CAF Interclub Competitions which were to resume in late September.

CAF had already decided on the dates and venues for the resumption of these competitions, but with the continuous increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Morocco where four of the matches will be played, caused the pan African Football organization to postpone the competitions to October.

With the idea of postponement already in the ears of the participating teams before the executive committee meeting,  clubs like Zamelek and Pyramids had already opposed the idea of postponement but CAF had to put human life first before competitions.
