The indomitable lions of Cameroon are African champions after beating Egypt 2-1 in an epic final of the 2017 Gabon AFCON.
The Egyptians opened score in the first half by Mohamed Naser at the 21st minute. Cameroon bounced back in the second half with the equaliser by Nicolas Nkoulou who came in as subsitute in place of Teikeu. The winning goal was scored by Vicnent Aboubackar two minutes to the end of regular play time.
Cameroon have thus earned their 5th African champions title, beating 7 times winners Egypt. Cameroon will defend its title as it hosts the next edition of the AFCON in 2019
