President of the African Volleyball Federation Dr. Amr Alwani and Vice President of the international federation open the African Volleyball Women Qualifiers in Yaoundé on the 5th January 2020 and will run till the 9th of January 2020
Egypt and Kenya opened the qualifiers with a dramatic match that kicked off at 4 pm and the vice-champions Kenya clinch fist victory after defeating tireless Egyptian ladies by a set of 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-22)

The Egypt team beat Kenya in a dramatic match in the same Olympic qualifiers for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro tournament, which was also held in Cameroon and crowned its team at the time with the ticket to qualify for the Olympics. But the vice-champions Kenya were too strong this time around for the Egyptians
Egypt gets a rest on the second day and then meets with Nigeria on the third day before facing Cameroon on the fourth day and then meets with Botswana on the fifth and last day.
Cameroon, who is eager to win the Olympics ticket for the second consecutive time, plays without the great strike Moma Basuko, the best player in the last African Cup of Nations. The Africa champions demolish little known Botswana in their opener by 3-0 set (25-17, 25-4, 27-25)

Cameroon faces Nigeria on the second day of qualifiers, before playing Kenya on the third day, then Egypt on the fourth day, which will determine the owner of the Olympic ticket.
