Cameroon: Fans tell the untold story about the sacked El Pacha Boss

Fagnia Fagnia leaves the pitch under tight security

Former coach of Oragan de Loum,Eding Sport FC, Bamboutos of Mbouda;Fanya Fanya Fernandez has been sacked by Aigle Royal of Menoua.

The club president Simon Dongmo confirmed on Tuesday that as a result of the poor performance of the club in the MTN elite one championship this season, the board has decided to relief Fanya Fanya off his duty with immediate effect.

Fanya who joined “El Pacha in December 2017 in the heart of the club’s preparation for the current season have failed to put together a team to score a goal let alone winning a game in seven outing.

Fanya Fanya’s second spell at the club can be described as “food in bad taste” with the club failing to get big name players from the transfer market despite the huge joy that came after the club’s new bureau including current indomitable Lions forward and former Aigle defender Leandre Tawamba was put together after last year’s election.

Aigle Royal fans had long time ago since the away game defeat to Colombe of Dja FC in Yaoundé lose faith in Fanya Fanya Fernandez with many of the opinion that the club’s current predicaments is directly related to the coach tactically and to an extent spiritually.

Some “El Pacha” are of the opinion that a spell has been cast on their boss by a witch doctor he once worked with at Oragan de Loum due to his unpaid debts. According to them that’s why the players labour in vein and players that insist to put in extra efforts end up picking up Knee injuries(over 8 players of Aigle Royal).

After failing to meet Fanya Fanya Fernandez in training last week in training despite numerous manhunt for him the fans decided to express their disgust at half time in Dschang on Sunday in the local derby against Fovu club of Baham by blocking the entrance to the changing room and threatening to lynch their coach.
It took police protection for the coach to escape the wrath of the fans.

Fernandez leaves rock bottom Aigle with 3 points from 7 games and no goal scored.

The club have named an interim coaches Nsame Alain,Fomou Georges and Foudouop Morocco to take charge of the team while the search for a “fire extinguishing coach” continues. Former Aigle Royal of Menoua and most recently Cotonsport boss Minkro Birwe is a front runner in the race to get the race to replace Fanya Fanya.

Aigle has an appointment in matchday 8 on Sunday at the nation’s political capital,Yaoundé against newly promoted and fellow strugglers YAFOOT FC.
Forward Folhe Godstine Junior is a major doubt for the game after he picked up a knock against Fovu and joins,Israel Kologni and many other Aigle Royal of Menoua players on the treatment table this week.

Aigle have recruited some 12 additional players to work with the new staffs.
