Cameroon Forward Vincent Aboubakar Loses Mum On Christmas Day

Indomitable Lions striker Vincent Aboubakar has lost his mother to the cold hands of death this Friday December 25, in Garoua.

It is an unforgettable day for the forward who got the news around midday, from the CNPS hospital in the North region of the country.

All these happening on Christmas, Which is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God.

Aboubakar’s mother from further inquiry, had a deteriorating health situation before her demise.

The player’s mother was hugely significant in Aboubakar’s career. Mysoccer24.com gathered that; Vinny’s mother fell to her knees, saying:’ my son, if it was because you missed me, here I am.’ This utterance during the 2017 AFCON that Aboubakar didn’t really sparkle before the final.

After seeing his mum, Aboubakar scored a stellar – winning goal to help Cameroon defeat Egypt for their fifth AFCON triumph in Gabon.

Aboubakar has scored 8 goals and assisted another for his new club Besiktas, out of 11 matches so far.

Aboubakar, 28, has equally sparkled for Cameroon scoring thrice in two games played against Mozambique in the AFCON qualifiers.
