Mozambique slumped to a 4-1 defeat to Cameroon at the reunification stadium in Douala this evening in what was a hugely dispiriting performance.

Goals from Vincent Aboubaka, Franck Zambo Anguissa, and Clinton Njie were the difference, while at the other end Kamo Kamo pull one back for Mozambique

A bad night at the office for team Mozambique

Goalkeeper: ONANA – 6

The Ajax keeper didn’t have much to do at all but ultimately he kept making saves and his distribution was sharp as ever but conceded a careless goal

Right-back: MBAIZO – 7

Mbaizo was sublime yet again, picking out incisive passes. Few nice moments when he tried to get forward on the overlap but was otherwise fairly quiet. Neat and tidy in possession.

Centre back: J.C CASTELLETTE 6

Comfortable on the ball and had a quiet night in defense in what was his first game back under coach António Conceicao

Center-back: MOUKOUDI – 7

One of Cameroon’s better players on an easy night. Constantly tried to get hold of the ball and get the team going.

Left-back: OYONGO AMBROISE – 6

The Montpellier man was energetic as ever, buzzing up and down the left flank. Otherwise had a quiet night.

Center midfield: Zambo Anguissa  – 9

Zambo is the one that makes it all tick, he’s constantly barking orders and recycling possession impeccably. Scored a lovely goal and later bagged an assist too. Man of the match for the night

Center midfield: ARNAUD DJOUM  – 8

Got through a mighty amount of work and delivered some fine, probing passes. Set the Cameroon tempo once more and then dropped in as Mozambique pressed.

Right-wing: BASSOGOG  – 7

Started brilliantly and superb skill with a lot of energy to run through the lines. Looked tired in the second half, though.

Left wing: NGAMAKEU MOUMI – 6

Had a difficult game today on the flank, the Cameroon Left winger struggled to get into the game.

Yet another world-class Vincent performance, his consistency is staggering. Absent from the national team for a long time due to injury but tic-tac his come back with a brace. What else can we say? He’s the best football player in the team right now mate.

Striker: TOKO EAKAMBI – 6

His usual busy self and full of energy. Didn’t make many mistakes and went about his business with minimal fuss.

Came on and bolstered the Cameroon attack, offering pace and creativity out wide. Got a goal he thoroughly deserved, a dynamic, hardworking display.

Came on and helped Cameroon see out the game with ease.
