A quarter final ticket will be at stake at the Ahmadou Ahidjou Stadium this evening when Cameroon, host of the 2020 Total African Nation Championship, CHAN face Burkina Faso in the last Group A match.
The match counting for the last group game will among other things be staged at the same time with the other group game to be stage in Douala.
In a bit to become the fourth host nation in six edition to go beyond the group stage, Cameroon are hoping to correct the wrongs written during the second disappointing group game against Mali. However, only Ivory Coast and South Africa have failed to progress to the next round of the competition.
From every angle, a draw will be sufficient to seal Cameroon place in the next round but the outcome of the other group game. Nevertheless, a victory this evening will steadily sailed them through to the next round of the competition.
After securing their first ever win in CHAN history during the second group game, Burkina Faso are counting on the momentum gathered from the last match.
Cameroon and Burkina Faso will be meeting for the second time after recording a 1-1 draw in Morocco in 2018.
