The Indomitable Lions’ emphatic victory over Mozambique in the third round qualifying match of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON has propel sport lovers in the country to say that Portuguese coach Toni Conceicao may have a bright future.
Since taking over Cameroon for almost a year now, so much concern have been raise concerning the goal drought phenomenon in the lion’s den. After recording a series of draws, fans started doubting the expertise of the Portuguese time at the helm of Cameroon.
However, these doubts seem to have been dashed away when the Lions seriousness, recorded their second straight victory of the campaign after starting the qualifiers with a 0-0 home draw against the Cape Verde Islands.
Even though Cameroon will be hosting the next AFCON, their 4-1 win at the Reunification stadium in Douala hinted a bright future under Portuguese coach Conceicao.
While hoping to see a similar emblematic show in the fourth day against Mozambique in Maputo, Cameroonians are yet to see the attractiveness that usually reined in the den.
The urge to score more goals and the desire to impressed their fans and supporters with classic playing style is what they await to see when the two nations takes on each other again on November 16.
Cameroon currently enjoys first position in Group F after dislodging Mozambique from top spot.
