The African nations championship (CHAN) is now a reality as the first two games of competition took place at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
In the first game, the intermediate Lions of Cameroon beat the warriors of Zimbabwe 1-0 as Banga scored the lone goal of the game, benefiting from a cross from Serge Andolo at the 71st minute to seal a 1-0 win for the boys of Martin Ndtoungou Mpile.
In the Second game, Siaka Bagayoko scored for the eagles as Mali outplayed Burkina Faso 1-0.
Following the outcome of match day one in group A, Cameroon tops the group with 3 points, followed by Mali with 3 points.
The next group A matches comes up on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde with Cameroon to play Mali and Burkina Faso to entertain Zimbabwe.
