The African nations championship (CHAN) continues today as day one matches of group B took place at the Japoma Sports Complex in Douala.
In the first game, the tournament witness its first goalless draw as 2014 champions, Libya drew 0-0 with Niger.
In the second game, two time champions Democratic Republic of Congo defeated The Republic of Congo 1-0. The lone goal was scored by TP Mazembe winger, Chico Ushindi Wa kumbanza at the 47 th minute. The goal ended up being the winner for the leopards.
The outcome of the matches sees DR Congo go top of their group with 3 points, while Libya and Niger have one point each.
Day two promise to be tough for all four teams as it going to be a clash of champions when 2014 champions Libya take on two time champions Dr Congo on January 21 at 5pm while Congo clash with Niger at 8pm in the second game.
