Zambia came in the second half to claim a draw on the road and make it’s to the quarter finals without a defeat in group D
The forward line was in excellent form all evening with Sikombe and Chabula not on target as the chipolopolo could not revenge for their last disappointing draw against Guinea.
It was action-packed from the opening whistle for Zambia.
The chipolopolo’s had some early scoring opportunities in the early segment of the game but Sikombe was not clinical with his finish as he short went off target.
Excellent first 17minutes football by Zambia who appeal for a clear penalty when Chabula was brought down in the penalty area but Madagascar referee Andofetra and his first assist referee
Not long from that action the same scenario occurred for the brave warriors when IImbondi was click from the back in the penalty area but referee yet again say play on.
Both teams struggled for a goal after a dismal performance but could only settle for a draw at half time
The second half was a pale copy of the first as both team maintained their intensity.
Both team continued to create scoring opportunities with entertaining style of play but still no goal at 71 minutes.
It was a much more measured start to the second half. The game was on a knife edge as Namibia began to peg Zambia back.
The game eventually settled down, though it remained entertaining with both sides pushing men forward.
At fulltime it was a point shared by both team.
Guinea and Zambia goes through to the quarter final with both team with 5 points each but separated with goal difference.
