CHAN Preparations: Arroga calls Tchindo John Bosco and four others to the lions den.



The head coach of Cameroon’s intermediate Lions Clement Arroga has invited five new players into the lions den in preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship to be hosted by Cameroon. 

This comes after some 8 players were released from the den  following different reasons.

Center back, Djob Lidjob and full back, Etta Bawak Thomas released  due to injury, while midfielders Mark Ojong, Rene Ndi, Ndeh Collins,  and defenders Ngwang Brian, Ngede Ngede Jr plus foward Arona Dang were also released.

Hours after the release of the aforementioned players, the head coach published the list of five players to join the rest of the team.

One of such players called up to camp is PWD Bamenda midfielder, Tchindo John Bosco who have so far scored three goals in three games for PWD in their preseason tour have caught the attention of the technical staff of the intermediate Lions to include him in the five man list.

Also part of the list is Yankam Abouri Basil who also played a vital role in PWD’s win against South Sudan also cut the attention of coach,  Clement Arroga.

Again, Nsoga Brian of Apejes of Mfou who was part of the September camping and was dropped to the waiting list of this October camping has also been in included in the list.

The names of the five new players called up by Arroga.

Reports say, these players are to report to camp on or before Monday October 12, 2020.

The boys of Clement Arroga are to play South Sudan again plus Coton Sport of Garoua in the days ahead.

Intermediate lions: Yves Clement Arroga shown the door

The head coach of the intermediate lions of Cameroon, Yves Clement Arroga, has been sacked from his function.

According to reports, officials of Cameroon’s ministry of Sports and the country’s FA, met on Wednesday in Yaoundé, and decided to show Yves Clement Arroga the door, following a series of poor outings from the intermediate lions.

Yves Clement Arroga Atsentso officially took up duty as head coach of the intermediate lions of Cameroon on October 11, 2019, and his sacking comes exactly one year old 10 days in charge.

The intermediate lions have been actively preparing for the upcoming African Nations championship to be hosted by Cameroon in January 2021. Arroga’s sacking comes just hours after he named a 28 man squad, to take part in their next training camp as from Sunday October 25.

No official statement has been made by the Cameroon football federation.

Several names have filter as possible replacement for Arroga, with Martin Ndtoungou Mpile leading the headlines, with current PWD Bamenda’s gaffer, David Pagou and Ndoumbe Bosso also mentioned as possible members of the technical bench.

No O’ojong, Ndi and Co, as Yves Clement Arroga summons 28 lions

The head of the intermediate lions of Cameroon, Yves Clement Arroga, has named a 28_man squad, that will take part in the lions next training camp.

The intermediate lions are expected to go to camp on Sunday October 25, at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo, as they continue to fine tune preparations for the upcoming African Nations championship.


Mark O’ojong, Etta Bawak, Rene Ndi, Nguede Nguede, Arouna Dang, Ndeh Collins, Ngwang Brian and Djob Lidjob who were sent home midway through their last training camp, have not been called back.


For Djob Lidjob and Etta Bawak, it is understandable that the two sustain injuries in the lions friendly game against South Sudan.

Yves Clement Arroga has given call ups to, Alioum Moubarak, Francis Elimbi, Aboubakari Sidiki and Fabonce Franklin.

CHAN Preparations:Zambian coach, Milutin Sredojevic summons 23 Local Bullets for Ethiopia and South Sudan friendlies.



The head coach of the Zambian intermediate national football team, Milutin Sredojevic has summoned 23 Local Bullets for Ethiopia and South Sudan friendlies in preparation for the upcoming African Nations Championship to be held in Cameroon. 

The players are to report to camp on Tuesday October 20 and will jet-off to Ethiopia the following day in readiness for the match against that country’s national team.

After the game against Ethiopia,  the local assemblage will then wrap up the Addis Ababa engagement with another friendly against South Sudan on Monday, October 26.

The Serb, who also doubles as the head coach of the Zambian national team, “the chipolopolo” will also use this Addis Ababa engagement to prepare for a back-to-back AFCON qualifier against Botswana in November.

It should be noted that, the Zambian coach has drafted an intense program for local players that will see them flow into the Botswana encounter on November 12 at the national Heroes stadium in match fit conditions.
