CHAN Udpate: Uganda cranes chill out Cameroon build up

Initially programmed to be played on Tuesday, January 9th, the international friendly between the Uganda cranes and the indomitable lions of Cameroon will no longer take place. The Ugandan FA scrapped off Cameroon in favour of another build up against Congo.

The information was confirmed by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Hussein through its website.

Head coach of the Uganda cranes Sebastien Desabre believes the practice matches will help fine tune the team ahead of the 2018 TOTAL CHAN tournament, relayed

The indomitable lions of Cameroon 23man squad masterminded by head coach Rigobert Song has played two build up matches so far; Was held to a 1-1 draw against Guinea (West African side), beaten 3-1 by host Morroco (Northern African side) and expected to complete it’s African tour build up with a East/Southern African side, Uganda beiing a good sparring partner.

The two teams are present in Rabat, ahead of the CHAN whick kicks off come Saturday, January 13th 2018.

At CHAN 2018, Uganda Cranes is in group B alongside Zambia, Cote D’Ivoire and Namibia while Cameroon is in group D alongside Congo, Angola and Burkina Faso.
