CAF’s ELECTIONS: 46 CAF’s associations call on President Ahmad to run for a second term
In a press release published on 26 october 2020, the presidents of the 6 Councils of African Football Associations, in the name of 46 Presidents of CAF’s associations, called on President Ahmad Ahmad to run for a second term. While they appreciate his efforts to raise the institution to international standards in terms of governance, they denounce the bad faith of his detractors.
The presidents defend Ahmad’s first term
The presidents of the 6 Councils of African Football Associations argue that
“The reforms that have been initiated on the first day in of his mandate have built a strong, modern and demanding institution, rising each day a little more to international standards.
In four years, he managed to set up a new system of collegial governance, allowing all goodwill individuals to participate in the life of football. The fundamental reorganization of the institution has made the administration more efficient. Transparency – particularly financial – has become a major concern, which is improving every day…
The work achieved by President Ahmad Ahmad and his team is as effective as it is unappreciated because you never notice things that are going well. It is unfair, but nature is made that way.”
The presidents bet on stability
The presidents bet on stability in order to have the required time and perseverance to establish the culture of High standard : “CAF is doing better, but the situation remains fragile. Transformations in the institution are bearing fruits, but reforms must continue, and good practices take root.”
Challenges of a new mandate
“The challenges of the next term of office are immense: in addition to completing the reforms, we must instil a vision for African football. We need a modern project, in line with the aspirations of the continent and Africans, whether spectators, practitioners, or leaders.
In this area, the lines drawn by President Ahmad are promising, and we share them. As we are better acquainted with the areas and the field, we also believe that we must strengthen the means there to amplify the education of the youngest. President Ahmad has already expressed his desire to make football accessible to everyone, regardless of ethnic, economic, religious or gender differences. We agree, and we also welcome the historic progress
already made in women’s football materials”
Philip Chiyangwa, Mamadou Antonio Souaré, Abdulhakim Al Shelmani, Gustavo Ndong, Djibrilla Hima Hamidou, Wallace Karia, Presidents of the 6 Councils of African Football Associations.

Sports Writer Mysoccer24.com
28_year_old experienced Chadian left back, Djime Nam Leger, has left Yaoundé this Sunday morning and is on his way to Bamenda, where he will finalize his contract with league one side, Yong Sports Academy.
The TMS and the FIFA Connect systems in Cameroon were closed on Friday at midnight, signaling the end of the summer transfer window, with the next window scheduled to open only as from January 02, 2021.
MySoccer24.com understands that the club and player had already sorted out the deal, pending the arrival of the player. Our sources have revealed that the player has agreed a two years deal with the club.
YOSA had an impressive run in the 2019_2020 football season under coach Nkabyo Martin, and are now determined to battle for the League’s title in the upcoming campaign.
The team has already secured the services of experienced Midfielder, Joel Etogue and a host of youngsters. The coming of Djime Nam Leger will add more experience to their attack line, that has lost key elements from last season’s expedition, like the club’s top scorer last term, Tongua Armel and also Tegemo Emmanuel.
Djime Nam Leger had posted a video some weeks back, announcing is potentially move to YOSA, but now the deal is more than certain to happen.
Born in Ndjamena, Chad on October 2, 1992, Djime has played for a series of top club’s in Africa, such as Elect-Sport FC, Foullah Edifice, Missile FC (Gabon), Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi (Morocco), El Nasr (Egypt), As Coton(Chad), and Tourbillon FC N’Djamena.
He operates mainly as a left wing forward, but can also play as a Centre-Forward and
Second Striker. Djime has played both the CAF champions league and Confederation cup. He is also a full Chadian international.
YOSA has always found favor in Chadian players, who have never disappointed the club’s hierarchy. For the past two seasons, they have had Goalkeeper serge Diguel and Romeo Otodjebaye from Chad. Before them, was Goalkeeper Adoum Defallah, was is heavily linked with a possible return to the club.
