Cameroon international, Eric Maxim Choupo Moting has signed a two year contract extension with Bundesliga Champions, Bayern Munich which will see him be Bayern’s till 2023.
The 32 year old joined the five time European champions last summer from French giants, Paris Saint Germain.
Speaking after signing his contract, the player said his proud to be at the club.
“FC Bayern is a special club, i’m proud to be here. It’s the biggest club in Germany and one of the biggest in the world”, words of chopou after the contract extension.
His move, according to Bayern, was to act like a back up to star striker, Robert Lewandosky.
He actually proved his worth in the champions league quarter final against PSG as he scored in both legs, despite been eliminated from the competition.
Choupo Moting played a total of 30 games for Bayern in all competitions, scoring 9 goals and winning the Bundesliga title, as well as the FIFA club world cup.
Bayern Munich is the fifth German club that is utilizing the services of the German-Cameroonian. He has previously played for Hamburger SV, FC Nurnberg, Maize 05, and Shalke 04, scoring over 46 league goals in some 204 appearances.
