Fako league side Istanbul FA stun CINYODEV FA Reserves Team 3-1 at the BGS field in a club friendly in preparation for the new football season in the South West Region of Cameroon.
The boys of Ache Ebenezer showed no inferiority complex as they opened scores at the 14 th minute through a 23 yards strike from Ojong Ignatius.
Efforts were made by CINYODEV FA Reserves Team to get their equaliser as Randy leveled scores at the 38th minute to put the game 1-1 at halftime.
Going into the second half, Istanbul FA still prove to be the better team as Ojong Ignatius was brought down in the penalty box by Bamboh Bill which resulted to a penalty for Istanbul FA.
Nguindjel Patrick made no mistake from the penalty spot as he put Istanbul 2-1 up at the 73 rd minute. It should be noted that Bamboh Bill was shown his matching orders following the penalty incident.
Reduced to ten men, there was no come back for CINYODEV FA Reserves Team as Istanbul FA scored the third goal through their captain, Atekwe Emmanuel to seal comfortable 3-1 win for Istanbul FA.
It should be noted that the U-16 team of Istanbul had defeated CINYODEV FA’s U-16 team 2-1 earlier in the day.
This is the second Friendly for ambitious Istanbul FA as they beat Babongou FC 3-0 in their first preseason outing.
Reports from the club say the Buea Base side have line up friendlies against regional league sides like Mount Cameroon Football Club of Buea, Victoria United, ISOSHA and Options Sport FA.
