Cotonsport vs Berkane: The Pandemic Has Penalized Us – Banga Bindjeme

Intermediate Lions captain and Cotonsport center – half – Salomon Banga Bindjeme Bienvenu has told reporters that without fans, caused by the global Covid19 pandemic, Cotonsport are clearly going to be missing out on something.

The former Colombe of the Dja man was speaking on the occasion of the team’s training session at 10 am, at the Roumde Adjia stadium.

“We are in high spirits,” Banga pointed out before proceeding. “We had a bad game in Algeria but I think that we are going to make the difference at home”.

Banga Bindjeme was absent from the call in Cotonsport’s loss to JS Kabylie. But, with center half Goni Ali absent, it is near – certain he plays his fifth game in the competition.


Quizzed on the unavailability of the fans, Bindjeme mourned: “The pandemic has penalized us since it started. It is however the case and we have no choice but to deal with it.

“Most of us took part in the African Nations Championship and fans are counting on us. We are going to do our best,” Cameroon’s highest goal scorer at the African Nations Championship ended.
