CUSA 4-2Cinyodev FA: Ekosse Njuma’s Hat Trick Seals Third Straight Win For Catholic University SA.

Catholic University Sports Academy maintain their 100% start to the season with a 4-2 win over Cinyodev FA.

Catholic University Sports Academy have beaten Cinyodev Football Academy 4-2 in their match day three clash of the South west regional championship today Sunday April 24, 2022.

A second half hat trick from star boy Ekosse Njuma and a goal from former Prisons of Buea striker Mborog Collins ensured all three points for coach Enowmbi Brandon and his charges.

This is Catholic university’s third straight win of the season as they record nine points, scoring seven goals and conceding just two goals.

For Cinyodev FA, this is their first defeat in the league since the opening day of last season, when they lost 6-0 to Prisons FC of Buea.

Next stop for Cinyodev FA is against Ajax FC of Likumba, while Catholic university SA takes on Option Sports Academy of Limbe.

Cinyodev FA had a first half lead following a deflected free kick from Solando Fonkeng at the 29th minute to put Coach Ntui Bernard’s charges in front.

But 10 minutes into the second half, Catholic university SA responded as Ekosse scored his second of the season to level scores at 1-1.

Then just 60 seconds after CUSA’s equalizer, Njenja Diranho scored a beauty to put Cinyodev back in the driving seat.

At the 67th minute, Catholic University equalized for the second time in the game as Ekosse scored his second of the game.

Things began to fall apart for Cinyodev as former Prisons of Buea striker, Mborog Collins scored his first goal for the club to put CUSA in front for the first time in the game.

Then two minutes two full time Ekosse completed his hat trick as he now totals four goals in three matches. Only Zambala Mbassi of Njalla Quan SA have scored the same number of goals as the CUSA talisman.

Ekosse Njuma now becomes the first player in the league to win the man of the match three times in a roll this season.
