Panthere sportive of Nde coach, Ahmed Abdel gets first blow on debut day as his said bowed to Coton Sport in a 0-2 loss in the first game of the brand new elite one football championship. 

The Egyptian tactician,  who was signed in September to replace Sylvanous Nguekap could not conjure the winning formula for his side as Marie Tchuente scored the first goal of the new campaign at the 39th minute to put the cotonites ahead at half time.

Upon return to the second half, the cotonites proved to be more dominant in the course especially when Panthere was reduced to 10 men.

The game was however put to bed by Oukine at the 81st minute to seal a 2-0 win for the 15 time champions. 

It should be noted that this is the first time Panthere is losing to Coton Sport of Garoua in 7 meetings including today’s meeting.

With the first real test, coach Ahmed Abdel will look at where his failed and make amendments as his team’s next game is away to last season’s second vice champions,  Colombe of Dja and Lobo.
