The two North West clubs clash on match day 22 in what will have impacts at both ends of the table as both sides will be looking for nothing short of a win as it might have negative impact on their positions in case of a defeat.
YOSA occupy the 10th spot with 27pts but a defeat might see them in the relegation places as a win for Avion who occupy the 15th position with 25pts, Dragon 16th with 24pts, a win for these two teams will see YOSA in the ralegation zone if they fail to beat PWD.
PWD on their part, will be looking to keep pace with Cotonsport because a defeat for them might see them drop to the 4th spot if teams like Colombe with 36pts at the third
spot, Feutcheu at the 4th spot with 33pts all record victories.
- PWD have not scored more than 2 goals in 90minute match in 2020. The last time they scored more than 2 goals was 5-1 spanking over Apejes on match day 15.
- YOSA on their part are yet to taste defeat in Bamenda in 2020. The last time YOSA tasted defeat in Bamenda was on Match day five against PWD.
YOSA have won just one game in 2020 and that was 5-1 win against Dragon on match day 16. They have won just 6pts out of a possible 18 in their last 6games (1win, 3draws and 2 defeats).
PWD too are still to gain consistency in 2020 as they have recorded 8pts from a possible 18 in their last 6games (2wins, 2draws and 2defeats)
Head to head
Both sides have met 21 times with PWD grapping the lion share with 8 wins, 6 draws and 7 loses.
Players to watch
YOSA forward Tongua Emmanuel who has scored close to 6 goals this season alongside Abanke Eric who has scored 4 goals this season will be key as the defenseline of PWD masterminded by Buringuy Derrick, Bonng Joel and Basil Yankam will have to be on form to stop the two YOSA forwards.
PWD on their part though some injury worries like Nchindo John Bosco, Ngwang Brian, Neloh Kelvin are major doubts due to injury.
Top scorer Leon Boyomo will be missing due to national duty call up.
Njang Romeo ruled out against UMS due to injury while defense back wire Basil Yankam was is suspended due to a red card shown to him against UMS.
Though notable absentees for PWD, they still have some oil reservses as Buringuy Derrick and Bonng Joel will be the two pillars at the heart of the defense against YOSA.
Goal scorers against UMS Mael Dindjeke and Frank Albert Balla will have to fill the shoes of Leon Boyomo.
Manager’s view of the game
Speaking at post match interview against UMS, coach David Pagou says he is paying much attention to the YOSA game.
“We are going to prepare the two games against YOSA and Cotonsport. These two matches are key for us; so we have to prepare very well” coach David Pagou added.
Players who can be selected for match day squad
YOSA might have to maintain their squad against Feutcheu.
Players like Elovis Tanmwie, captain Ngalle Rolland, Asongwe Lovette, Bahaza Goan, Ndong Nerville, Epoge Achu Tony, Abanke Eric, Tongoua Armel, Tegema Emmanuel, Fun Blaise, Fun Essien and Ngoh Yannick are possible troops for YOSA against PWD.
For PWD, they have notable absentees but coach David Pagou still has something to offer as the lights of Burringuy Derrick, Bonng Joel, Mael Dindjeke and Frank Albert Balla and host of others will feauture in the 18man troops of coach David Pagou.
Playing in Bamenda both teams know the terrain and with stakes such as pride and honor, i fansy a 1-0 win for YOSA.
CSL: ‘On fire’ John Mary Punishes Minala’s Qingdao
Sports Writer Mysoccer24.com-Cameroon
Cameroon forward John Mary is now one short of a dozen goals after his 11 of the season helped dispatch fellow country- man, Joseph Minala and his Qingdao Huanghai teammates.
The playoffs for 13 spot between Shenzhen and Qingdao ended 4-1 after the both legs, of course, with John Mary helping Shenzhen FC’s course.
John Mary opened scores two minutes before the break and Gao Lin sealed the deal, before Bari Mamatil could only half deficit for the visitors.
John Mary would have been leaking his lips to get a callup as one of the Lions’ forward’s to face Mozambique on Thursday November 12.
The 27-year-old for some strange reason was left out of Tony Conceicao’s 24 man list to play Mozambique in their AFCON 2022 qualifying games. He however continues to impress for club.
Elite 1: Panthere coach, Ahmed Abdel makes his full Elite 1 debut against Coton Sport of Garoua.
Panthere Sportif of Nde coach, Ahmed Abdel will make his full Elite 1 debut against 15 times champions, Coton Sport of Garoua on Sunday November 1, 2020 at the Amadou Ahijou stadium.
The Egyptian tactician who was drafted on September 1, 2020 to succeeded Sylvanous Nguekap as coach of Panthere will have to show what he is made of against the Cotonites on Sunday.
Ahmed Abdel and his troops are going into the match with some confidence, haven’t won a couple of preseason friendlies against Options Sport SA, the National Intermediate Lions team and Racing of Bafoussam.
But haven’t lost the likes of Derrick Anye Fru and Herve Ngomo to their opponents this summer, this game might be a tough one for the boys of Ahmed Abdel.
With a 15th place finish last season, one of the objectives of the club this season is to get at least a ticket to any of the CAF Interclub Competitions but with a tough opponent like Coton Sport, can they match word with action on match day one?

Cameroon: Allan Nyom: Right Back Joins The ‘no’ list
32-year-old indomitable Lions full-back Allan Nyom has ‘called it a day,’ according to our French – writing colleagues at Footazimuts.
In effect, the preselection of the friendly game pitting Japan in the Netherlands was the ‘omega’ of the man who plays his club football for Getafe.
Following a lengthy talk by Footazimuts with a source that wasn’t stated all through, the right-back has joined a couple of players to say ‘no, thanks.’
“Nyom said he is no longer available,” mysoccer24.com tapped from Footazimuts.
The masked source continued ‘he (Nyom) says, things he has gone through in the past gave him a bad experience and he wants to focus on his family and his club.
‘If a player changes his mind, it will be up to him to take the step like Clinton Njie did by publicly asking forgiveness from the country,” read the quote.
Allan Nyom without a doubt has had a blistering club career, but didn’t quite blossom with the national colours.
The former Watford and Granada player was involved in over 18 international games (WC inclusive), with no major or minor silverware since 2011.
Nyom thereby joins Matip, Nkolou; who is asking for ages to reflect, and Jean Pierre Nsame amongst others – who are not certain on donning Cameroon’s jersey on pitch site again.
