The manager of Fabrice Ondoa, Eric Depollo has reacted to the termination of the contract of his agent by KV Oostende.
The manager highlighted the fact that Fabrice Ondoa’s Contract Termination was a premeditated act by the Belgian club.
“In fact, the club is just capitalizing on his situation to do away with Fabrice [Ondoa], because it’s premeditated. They had earlier tried to do it without paying him anything at the beginning of the season. But we categorically refused […] They even sent him to be training with with the U-18s. Fabrice is training with the U-18s since they second day of the season”, Depollo reacted.
Fabrice Ondoa’s Contract was terminated for holding a lockdown party over the weekend which went against the COVID-19 barrier measures to prevent the spread of the Pandemic.
The 24 year-old goalkeeper was shocked by the news and lamented on the fact that the Clubs did not call him to explain himself before taken a decision.
“The club did not even bother to invite me to explain the fact which I am accused”, Ondoa wrote on his official instagram page.
The 2017 AFCON Winner joined KV Oostende in 2018 from Spanish giants, Seville on the recommendation of former Indomitable Lions coach, Hugu Bross who served as a sporting director of the club at a time.
But since the Barcelona Academy graduate joint the Belgian club, Ondoa has not been able to write his name in gold. In fact he has not even featured in the substitute bench of the club since the start of this season.
Last season the player only made five appearances for the club.
