The return leg match of the 2018 Kenya CHAN qualifier between Cameroon and Sao Tome will be played this afternoon at 1pm GMT et the Limbe Omnisport stadium in cameroon. Head coach Rigobert Song has carried out slight changes among the eleven entry players to face Sao Tome (Cameroon won 0-2 in the away leg).
David Eto’o (Union of Douala) has been filled in to begin the encounter in place of Emmanuel Kofana (APEJES Mfou). Samuel Eto’o Fils’s junior brother has always been a curiosity in the Cameroon MTN Elite 1 football league. It’s generally accepted by football specialists that David Eto’o is not as talented as his senior brother but the golden boy of the Cameroonian league has sometimes shown he possesses some skills which has valued him being called up with the intermediate lions. His performance of this afternoon will be another subject of debate and controversy among local football fans.
Among other changes in Song’s line up; Ngondji (EDING) replaces Namedji (UMS LOUM) while Ambassa replaces Owundi. Bitang (UNION Douala) plays in central midfield and not the wings as he did in Sao Tome and Principe.
Cameroon will play in a classic 4-3-3 with the following players:
Gk – Gwot Kalati (1)
Def – Tientcheu (5), Ambassador (17), Abouem (15), Bawak (4)
Mil – Awono (18), Eto’o (9), Bitang (10)
