One of Cotonsport’s standout performer in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup, Francis Bailang Pierre, is set to leave for Bahraini first-tier side Manama Sports Club in the days ahead.
The midfield maestro has finally gotten the nod from Cotonsport who are willing to release the player for a bumper three-year deal with Manama Sports Club, mysoccer24.com has learned from his entourage.
Having signed just a single season for Cotonsport, Bailang came into the team’s philosophy and quickly adapted. The 27-year-old started the team’s first two matches in their CAF Confederation Cup expedition, before dropping to the bench, home and away against Green Eagles in round two.
Bailang Pierre has massive experience having played for the country’s best: Bamboutos, Eding, Union and Cotonsport, picking up personal accolades like the 2017 MVP in the Cameroon Cup, and being preselected to camp with the Indomitable Lions in 2014, under Volker Finke.
Manama Sports Club for starters, is a club founded in 1946. They’re currently fourth in the ongoing Bahraini Championship after two wins, one draw and two defeats out of four games.
