The 11th day of the MTN Elite one championship was yet again one which produced surprises in different grounds around the country.

Who would have thought that 3 days after New Stars beat defending champions Eding Sport FC, the boys of Faustin Domkeu will choke before an Astres side that had lost 3 games coming into the Saturday fixture or that Apejes will be humbled by a Dragon side that had not won any game since their match day 1 win over UMS Loum.

1)Unisport won their first game in 3 beating Aigle Royal by 2 goals to 1 in Dschang.

2)Astres scored 2 goals against New Stars,it was the first time the Brazilians of Bepanda scored 2 goals in a game this season and Ernest Nsombo got his second goal of the season.

3) Astres 2 nil win over New Stars ended the club’s run of 3 consecutive defeats.

4) Colombe failed to score against UMS Loum in Yaoundé making it 4 games in a roll in Yaoundé without scoring.

5) YOSA‘s draw against Fortuna meant the north west club have now picked 5 points from possible 9 in Yaoundé.

6) Astres is very efficient against fellow Littoral clubs,the Brazilians have picked up 6 points in two games against USD and New stars.Efficient in managing derbies.Only Stade Stade as a littoral club have defeated Astres this term.

7) There were goals in 7 of the 9 league games,only Fortuna vs YOSA and Stade Renard vs YAFOOT FC ended without goals.

8) Union Sportive of Douala defeated Bamboutos 1 nil in Limbe to take her number wins over Bamboutos to 8 in 23 elite 1 games. Bamboutos have won 6 times in this fixture and there have been 9 parity games.

9) After 9 failed attempts,Dragon Registered a win. The 1 nil win over Apejes of Mfou was the club’s first win since she beat UMS Loum in match day 1.

10) Tombi’s goal against Colombe was UMS 10th goal of the season.

11) Thierry Mettomo quits Colombe after 11 games with only 11 points picked up from a possible 33 points.
