The Cameroonian Football Federation is once again without an Executive Committee after the decision of the Court Of Arbitration For Sports has this day cancelled the election of the executive committee of the month of December.
This day (Friday, January 15) was the most anticipated day of the sports calendar at the start of the year 2021 alongside the CHAN 2021.
At exactly 24 hours from the start of this African football regrouping, CAS has just canceled the election that led former FECAFOOT president Seidou MBOMBO NJOYA’s executive committee following the complaint filed by AS MEIGANGA, in particular by the Association of Amateur Football Clubs (ACEFAC) which carries in the background the complaint of OIympique of Meiganga.
The protesters (ACEFAC and AS Meiganga) reporting an act of corruption during the general assembly validating the founding texts of Fécafoot on October 10, 2018 in Mbankomo, near Yaoundé. The Standardization Committee headed by Dieudonné Happi was also accused of having violated several provisions of the statutes of May 2009 which were in force before October 10, 2018.
It is important to point out that FECAFOOT can effectively be represented tomorrow and throughout CHAN by its Secretary General Benjamin Banlock who is therefore (pending the appointment of a normalisation committee by FIFA)
He can normally carry out the day-to-day activities of the federation and all acts signed by him will be valid.
The same goes for all FECAFOOT staff who can continue to go about their business quietly. Like the communication manager or even the legal affairs managers.
The decision of CAS only concerns the executive committee of Fecafoot which does not belong to the current SG and all the staff recruited under it’s auspices.
