Former Cameroon right-back Laureano Etame Mayer has been appointed New FIFA Technical Expert for the development of talent.
The two time Africa champion, Olympic Medalist, and member of the Arsenal Invincible team commonly known as Lauren will continue his career at Fifa level after being appointed as the Technical Expert for the development of talent in Africa
Lauren will be tasked with enhancing the competitive standards of African football on the international stage and is able to call on the vast experience acquired during a playing career that saw him earn legendary status with Arsenal and the Cameroon national team.
Lauren highlights his extensive experience as a footballer, the achievements obtained, and the bridges that it has always built between the European and African continents, thus being one of the benchmarks for the growth of this football, as he demonstrated during his career.
He achieved two Premier League, four FA Cup and three Community Shield with Arsenal Invincibles team, but also an Olympic gold and two African Cups with Cameroon, without forgetting his time in the Sevilla quarry, as well as the first team of Levante and Mallorca, where he won a Spanish Super Cup and played the final of the Recopa de Europa. In addition, Lauren has been a coach for a year.
