FIFA Qatar World Cup Qualifiers: Indomitable lion’s Top 3 comebacks as Antonio Conceicao publishes list of 32 preselected players.
Cameroon's gaffer Antonio Conceicao has rendered public a list of 32 provisional squad ahead of the country's world cup qualifier games against Malawi and Côte d'ivoire.

The list comprises 5 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 7 midfielders and 10 forwards, most of whom form the bulk of the team that faced Mozambique of recent.
Among the preselected, 3 players are making their come back in the preselected list while waiting for the final list which will determine the true selection that will battle for the lone ticket to the playoffs.
Ambroise Oyongo (43 caps, 2 goals)
The 29 years old played a single match in the 2020-2021 season before succumbing to injury. Since then (28.02.2021), he hasn’t played competitive football and recovering from a long injury. His preselection seems more like opening the doors of the national team to him but not to take an active part in the upcoming confrontations.
His last game with the indomitable lions dates back on 11 December 2020 against Mozambique, a game the lions won 4-1.
Tawamba Kana (2 caps, 0 goal)
The 31 years old center forward is making his come back into the team after practically 3 years of absence. The former Union of Douala and Aigle of la Menoua forward has been having a good time in the Saudi Arabian top flight with Al-Taawoun FC where he has scored 6 goals in 9 games. His last game dates as back as on the 27th of May 2018 against Burkina Faso. With 10 preselected forwards, it will be difficult for him to make it to the final list.
André Onana (18 caps)
The Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper is equally making his comeback into the lion’s den after being out of action since February 2021. The 25 years old had received a 12-month suspension for doping violations, which was later reduced to nine months. Reliable sources relate that Onana is in advanced talks with Inter Milan for a possible transfer during the winter window. Nevertheless, he seems to be destined as starter in the upcoming games.
Apart from these top 3, Jerome Onguene is equally but discretely making a comeback in the preselections.
The lions will face Malawi on November 11th and Côte d’ivoire 3 days later at the Japoma stadium in Douala.
