Cameroon’s manager António Conceição da Silva Oliveira has named a 32-man squad for November’s World Cup qualifiers, with Ajax’s safe hands Andre Onana making his return in the lion’s den.

The Lions will face off against Malawi and Côte d’Ivoire in November as they vie to grab the 1st spot in group G which will propel them into the final knockout stage to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Those games will give Andre Onana a chance to rekindle his image in the Cameroonian squad after some months of absence due to a UEFA ban. He as he has been named, alongside current starter Epassy Davis, Efala Kamguep, Nlend Narcise and Omossola Simon who are becoming regular in the call ups.

The Ajax number one is yet to make his debut in his club this season but remains one of Cameroon’s safe hands. His return will see him toggle with David Epassy who has so far been on top form in the last four games (360 minutes played) of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Andre Onana will be joined by a host of players making their come back into the lion’s den in the likes of “off-pitch team animator” Oyongo Bitolo, Jerome Onguene, Onana Jean Junior, and Tawamba Kana.

Unsurprisingly, there are no places for injured Moukoudi Harold and Arnaud Djoum who are unfit as still recovering from injury.

Conceicao’s men will begin their international schedule with a trip to South Africa, the home ground chosen by The Flames of Malawi for their remaining world cup qualification games on November 13, before returning home for the final battle against archrival Côte d’Ivoire in Yaounde come November 16th.
