Former Barcelona Midfielder Alex Song Wins Second Succesive Djibouti Premier League.

Cameroon International Alex Song joins Carlos Kameni and Nounkeu to win Djibouti Premier League.

Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song have won the Djibouti  Premier league  for the second season running following  his club, Arta Solar 7 ‘s victory over Arhiba on Saturday.

The win for Solar means they totaled 45 points  in 18 league matches, 11 points better than runners up GR/SIAF.

The clinching of the league title  means they have now won three league titles  in a roll, and will represent Djibouti  in next season’s  CAF Champions league.

The former Barcelona man joined the Djibouti  Premier league  side in 2021, and have helped the club win a league and cup double this season.

Before joining the Djibouti  side, the 34 year-old  was one of those players who were fired by Swiss club FC Sion in November 2020  after he refused to accept a salary cut following  the outbreak of Covid-19.

The 2008 AFCON  finalists now joins his former indomitable lions teammates: Kameni Carlos and Nounkeu to win their second successive  league title.
