Four Facts You may not know about Ndtoungou Mpile, Cameroon’s new intermediate coach.

63 year-old Martin Ndtoungou Mpile, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Cameroon intermediate lions.

This comes after Clement Arroga was sacked following a meeting between the minister of sports and the Cameroon Football Federation on Wednesday October 21, 2020 in Yaounde,  Cameroon.

Martin Ndtoungou Mpile, is no new name to Cameroon Football as he has managed different categories of Cameroon Football teams.

4 fact you may not know about Ndtoungou Mpile. 

This is the second time he is taken a team to CHAN few months to the competition. He did that in 2016 and now in 2020, he’s doing same.

He has never won any trophy with all the categories of national teams including the intermediate lions under his care.

In 2008, he was coach of the Olympic lions during the Olympic games in Beijing, China. 

In 2011, he was the coach of the Cameroon U-20 lions.

Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile,  will be assisted by PWD social club of Bamenda coach, David Pagou and Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso.

Head coach: Martin Ndtoungou Mpile. 

First Deputy coach: David Pagou

Second Deputy coach: Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso

Goalkeeper coach: Clement Assimba

Physical trainer: Herve Mamoune

Cameroon is drawn in group A alongside Zimbabwe,  Rwanda and Burkina Faso and will be based in Yaounde during the upcoming African Nations Championship to be held in Cameroon in January next year.
