What has a start must have an ending, this was confirmed in the ongoing 2017 AFCON tournament as Cameroon booked a date with Egypt in the final match of the tournament to be staged in Franceville on the 5th of February 2017.
Cameroon who went into the game as the underdogs proved to be quite an uphill task for Ghana as they showed their striking prowess.
Even though the game was goalless in the first half, the deadlock was broken in 72nd minute thanks to a confusion from the Ghanaian defense , failed to clear a free kick which Cameroons Michael Ngadeu converted home.
The black stars were once more caught of guard through a counter attack with which Christian Bassogog swiftly converted the second the goal with much ease.
Cameroon are not only looking forward to lifting this editions trophy but also they shall be seeking revenge to Egypt whom they lost to in the 2008 finals.
The third place play off shall now be between Ghana and Burkina Faso, in Port Gentil, Ghana shall go into the match with heads down as Cameroon confirmed to them once that they better team than them even without their much cherished stars, Ghana are yet to beat Cameroon in any edition of AFCON.
The final game is scheduled to be a battle between Francophone and Anglophone speaking countries, North Africa vs West Africa affair, with most fans expected to support Cameroon which is a neighboring country.
