Green Eagles Fly past Proline FC to book a quarter final berth with Gor Mahia.

CECAFA Championship invitees Green Eagles from Zambia booked a quarter final berth against Kenyan champions Gor Mahia after getting three points against Uganda’s Proline Fc.
Kenedy Musonda 13th minute goal was all that Green Eagles needed to proceed, Kennedy who joined Green Eagles last season scored an awesome goal by curling the ball around the keeper before sloting home a super shot to earn his team an early lead.
Coming into the second half Kennedy Musonda once more showed his prowess while infront of the goalslpost after connecting home a long cross from Tapson Kaseba in the 46th minute.
Proline FC’s Hakim Kwanuka pulled one back for Proline FC in the 53rd minute.
The Ugandans tried to push for an equaliser but their efforts were not enough to enough them a point against the Champions League participants.
“It was a good game though they are very lucky that we did not score more goals” said Green Eagles Coach Aggerey Chiyangi.
On Gor Mahia the coach said that his main purpose was to meet Gor Mahia and other string sides as they are also a strong side.
The two sides shall meet on 17th July with kick off to be confirmed later.
