The ceremony took place at the FECAFOOT headquarters with representatives of Guinness Cameroon, the president and Secretary General of the LFFC and fecafoot’s secretary general.
Symbolically, a few players from Canon ladies FC were present to spice the occasion.
Benjamin Didier Banlock, the Secretary general of fecafoot expressed gratitude to the sponsor especially during this COVID19 era where business is slow and opened a window in the future as the FA is actively in search of sponsors for the amateur championships.
For Celine Eko, vice president of fecafoot and vice president of the women football league thanked Guinness Cameroon for the materialization of its promise and thinks the championship has taken a leap forward.
After just 2 playing days we know that the championship will be tough. The coming of Guinness Cameroon has brought in a new flare to the women championship.
Mr Nana of Guinness Cameroon symbolically and ceremonially handed over the jerseys to the Secretary general of fecafoot who in turn handed the jerseys to the president of the women football league
Guinness Cameroon is the first ever sponsor of women football championship in Cameroon and the distribution of these kits and payment of stipends to all players of the 12 clubs has come to boost the level of Cameroon’s top flight championship.
